I'm not sure if I told you guys, but I am currently in my hometown St. Louis. I've been here for the past two weeks and I must say, I am so ready to head back to sunny L.A. Besides, I miss my husband like crazy! It's weird how I split my time up between St. Louis and Los Angeles. It's hard because my hubby works in L.A. and my two older children lives in St. Louis with their father right now, so I have to make frequent trips because I miss them so much. I know, strange right? But this turned out to be a good trip because I got to catch up and have dinner with my BFF Rocki and I got to attend both of the kids basketball games and yes they both won YAY! Although, sometimes, I do feel like my life is like a whirl wind. I think I spend more time in an airport more than anything and it gets really tiring.
Thank goodness for the world wide web and social networks like facebook, twitter, and skype. It allows me to keep up with my friends and family even when I'm not physically available, although I do miss that adult physical interaction. I was just telling the hubby the other day how I need to make some new friends in L.A. He suggested that I hang out with his "home boys" girlfriends, but I'm not to fond of that idea. Most of his friends are college buddies that aren't married and have no children, so what can I possibly have in common with their girlfriends. Sure I have single friends back in St. Louis, but they have been my friends for years, before I was married with children. In my opinion, when making new friends we have to at least have something in common. London needs new friends to play with as well. She's not in daycare so she rarely gets to play with other kids her age. Sometimes, I feel bad for my lil mama. When we go places like McDonald's she gets super excited to see other kids in the play area Lol. I was thinking about joining a play-date group. I think that will be a good way for myself and London to meet new friends.
So, what did you guys think about the All-Star game this weekend? I was so happy that Kobe Bryant took home the MVP award. I was looking at my time line on twitter and noticed a lot of Laker "haters" lol. A lot of folks thought Lebron James should have took MVP. I'm a die hard Laker and Kobe fan, so I beg to differ Lol. My hubby threw an All-Star finale party last night at Suede Bar and Lounge in downtown LA and I heard it was a success YAY! I was super upset that I wasn't able to make it back to L.A. in time to help him out with the event though. I was so bummed out because I normally help my hubby out with most of his business affairs whether it's sending out emails blasts, making phone calls, working events, promoting events, etc. So yeah, I guess you can say I'm his personal assistant Lol.
Well, enough about me. I have to go get dinner started. I hope everyone's enjoying their day! *Smooches*
